U7 Pre-Club Academy

The U7 Pre Club Academy is for age appropriate, elite players and not to be confused with the Elite Academy League.  For more information on the Elite Academy, please visit Elite Academy League.

Academy programs have emerged as a 21st century alternative to the frustrating shortfalls in soccer development displayed by most pre-teens. This void is heavily influenced by coaching quality and the pressures to win at critical periods in the development process.

Academy programs seek to improve individual player development, satisfaction and retention, and to build a less pressured youth soccer environment for coaches, adult spectators, and match officials. The academy approach for youth soccer is supported by many governing bodies, US Soccer, US Youth Soccer, UEFA, FIFA.

This program is for U7 boys and girls and will be the key to our programs ongoing success. We are committed to the development of our players love for the game and development as a player. Whether they go on to earn a college scholarship, play professionally or simply improve through the LA Galaxy Orange County ranks to become a stalwart of a team, our dedication to the individual’s progress will never waiver.

The U7 academy club team will commence in March and will last for 4 months. It is designed to give the young player the tools to advance into LA Galaxy Orange County U8 club program in the following year. Each player will be hand-picked and given expert training by either Graeme Jennings (Boys Academy Director) or Ben Loughlin (Girls Academy Director) in the basic components of soccer: Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psychological.

Each player will be taught the skills needed to perform at the competitive level with professional, age appropriate training, focusing on skills, ball control, passing, shooting etc. in a fun oriented environment.
