International star and NCCAA first team All-American Carlos Calderson has joined LA Galaxy Orange County as the Director of Coaching for Boys.

Calderson, who holds a US Soccer Federation “A” coaching license, played with Racing Club Portuense Academy as a youth and brings a wealth of international and professional playing experience to LAGOC. Carlos will work with our athletes to help provide guidance and a realistic perspective on what it takes to compete at the highest level both domestically and internationally. Calderson played professionally here in America for the San Diego Flash, Charlotte Eagles, and San Diego Sockers (Indoor).

“We are thrilled to have yet another big signing by bringing Carlos Calderson in to the LA Galaxy OC Family,” commented LAGOC Director of Operations Tim Woodcock. “Carlos not only brings impressive professional experience into the club but an in-depth perspective of international competition as well. Many of our athletes dream of competing internationally and Carlos knows what it takes to compete and succeed at that level. Calderson is another in a series of significant additions to our coaching staff, again, reconfirming our commitment to excellence in player development.”
